Place: Castle of Mesola, Torre Abate Oasis, boat ride along the Po di Goro, Comacchio, Pomposa Abbey – Emilia-Romagna Region – (Fe)

1° day:

Meeting with the guide in Comacchio and visit of the beautiful town centre, an itinerary that includes the main monuments: Palazzo Bellini, the former San Camillo Hospital, Ponte delle Carceri, the old fish market and the famous Trepponti, the symbol of the city, until we reach the Manifattura dei Marinati, the place where you meet the history, culture, traditions, secrets and "flavours" of the town and its lagoon. Lunch break. Transfer to Pomposa and visit of the important Benedictine monastery. You will visit the Palazzo della Ragione, the halls of the Refettorio and Capitolo, the church that guards a beautiful series of frescoes of the fourteenth century.

2° day:

Meeting with the guide at Gorino Ferrarese for an excursion by boat along the Po River until we reach the mouth of the river. While sailing we can see the Old Lantern, witness of the advancing coastline in the centuries, then the new Goro Lighthouse at the mouth of the river and many species of birds that inhabit the lagoons and the cane thicket. Lunch break. In the afternoon visit to the Natural Oasis of Torre Abate: the tower, with its ancient locks, represents the effort made by men in the sixteenth century, to reclaim all the marshes, which have been transformed into rural expanses. Afterwards, visit to the Este Castle of Mesola, the ancient residence of the Este court which houses the "Museum of the Wood and the Deer".

3° day:

Meeting with the guide at Mesola’s forest for a walk in the Nature Reserve, an area of great scientific interest, surviving edge of the ancient forests that once covered the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Deers, fallow deers, badgers, foxes and many other animals live wild and find shelter here. End of services.

 The tour package includes points with accessible facilities for users with disabilities such as:

• bathrooms for disabled persons;
• lift in the Manifattura dei Marinati and in the Mesola Castle;
• accessible paths in the Oasis of Torre Abate;
• accessible paths in the Mesolas’forest;
• footbridge for boarding;

Note: The Este Castle of Mesola, the Manifattura dei Marinati and the Pomposa Abbey are open all year round, closed on Mondays. The Nature Reserve of Mesola’s forest is open from March to October on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
