CYCLING IN THE RAVENNA PINE FORESTS
An easy, flat route (just over 25 km) in the greenery of the pine forests stretching between Ravenna and Cervia. The pine forests have a profound historical and cultural significance and, although they have been greatly reduced compared to ancient times, they still retain all their charm, standing out as a predominant element of the coastal landscape from the mouth of the river Reno to Cervia.
Starting from Milano Marittima, you can bike along easy dirt and bike paths for the entire length of the route. When you reach the Cervia pine forest, why don’t you stop at the Casa delle Farfalle (Butterfly House)? This is a tropical greenhouse covering over 500 m2 where the youngest members of the family can discover the beauty of a hundred species of butterflies from all over the world.
On the other hand, on the return journey towards Milano Marittima, a stretch is covered along the embankment of the river Savio, almost reaching its mouth
