The Via Romea Germanica, an ancient route that retraces the stages of the journey undertaken in the 12th century by the monk Albert of Stade to Rome, passes through the Argenta area; following this route gives us the chance to admire archaeological, architectural and historical sites, including the civic museum, come and discover it through an interactive experience:
That ‘dirty’ job: the archaeologist – a detective at the museum
Sunday 13 September at 4.00 pm (to coincide with the Argenta Fair)
Sunday 18 October at 4.00 pm
The Civic Museum invites you to a fun and educational activity entirely dedicated to families and designed to introduce young people to the history of the local area in an interactive and entertaining way.
Inspired by the atmosphere of great adventure and mystery films, the initiative will guide participants on a quest to find a mysterious lost object. The experience will take the form of a real treasure hunt through the museum’s galleries: divided into teams, adults and children will have to work together to solve quizzes, riddles and nursery rhymes, keeping a sharp eye out for unusual and hidden details amongst the paintings and archaeological display cases.
The aim of the event is not only entertainment but also the popularisation of science. Through play, participants will have the opportunity to discover first-hand the secrets of the archaeologist’s trade, learning about excavation methods and how the artefact catalogue form (RA) works. At the end of the tour, there will be a group challenge of ‘ArcheoTaboo’, a themed reworking of the famous word game with an archaeological twist, where teams will compete using mysterious words linked to the world of excavations and history, to test the knowledge they have acquired during the afternoon.
Single ticket: €5
Meeting point: the Civic Museum, Via G.B. Aleotti, 46 – Argenta (FE)
The activity will take place with a minimum of 5 participants
Bookings must be made by 6.30 pm on Friday.
Bookings must be made by 12 noon on Saturday
