A guided cycling tour to discover the incredible biodiversity of the Po Delta Park.
A journey through nature, history and picturesque landscapes, taking you on a journey to explore the local wildlife and the ancient tradition of salt production. We’ll cycle through a variety of landscapes, travelling from the Cervia Salt Pan to Bevanella.
Along the way, the guides will help you learn more about the history of salt production, the characteristics of the local birdlife and the fragile ecological balance of the pine forests and the Po Delta.
PROGRAMME:
- 10.00 am – Meet at the Cervia Salt Pan Visitor Centre
- Start of activity – Departure for the cycle tour (a circular route of approximately 30 km)
- 7.00 pm – End of the event and return journey
STOPS ALONG THE ROUTE:
During the excursion, we will pass through some of the most iconic spots:
- Salina di Cervia
- The pine forests of Cervia, Milano Marittima and Savio
- Butterfly House
- Mouth of the River Savio
- Mouth of the River Bevano
- Coastal dunes
INCLUDED:
- guidance from an environmental guide
- hire of a pedal-powered bicycle
- admission to the Butterfly House in Milano Marittima
WHAT TO BRING:
- comfortable clothing and shoes
- a hat
- a windproof/waterproof jacket in case of changeable weather
